On 16 September 2013, Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang and H. E. Mme. Magdalene Teo, Ambassador of Brunei to China visited Guizhou Normal University in the period of the 6th ASEAN-China Educational Cooperation Week.
President Wu Pengcheng of Guiyang Normal university briefed on the situation of the university and he hoped to carry out more cooperation and exchanges with ASEAN universities including Brunei.
H.E. Mme. Magdalene Teo said that she would like to help bridge the cooperation between Guiyang Normal University and universities in Brunei. Brunei provides a certain amount of scholarships to Chinese students. She hoped in the future there would be more students from Guizhou studying English in Brunei.
Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang highlighted ACC's task of strengthening ASEAN-China educational cooperation. ACC will continue its efforts to assist Guiyang Normal University to set up relations with ASEAN universities.
